Cam Deas
Braw is chuffed to present the Edinburgh debut for youngster Cameron Deas, an incredible 12-string extraordinaire who’s bridging gaps between the tantric vibrations of Robbie Basho and John Fahey with the stark minimalism and improvisational work of Derek Bailey and Charlemagne Palestine. The now London based artist has been moving and shaking his wares in the Sheffield scene for quite some time - having opened for the likes of Chris Corsano and Mick Flower, the late Jack Rose, Pocahaunted, Alasdair Roberts, Espers amongst others, and with notable releases on the ever excellent Blackest Rainbow, Great Pop Supplement and Dead Pilot. A rather dapper way to welcome in the new year, wouldn’t you agree?

Wounded Rogue
(Wounded Knee + The Wee Rogue)
A collaboration from a local pair of microbrew quaffing, folk balladeering, anecdotal cardigans who’ve been around the block a few times, sir’s Drew Wright (aka. Wounded Knee) and Jamie O’Connor (aka. The Wee Rogue). Expect finger in the ear duets and choruses which will be make you laugh, cry and probably cry a little more. In a good way, mind!

Matthew Collings
Previously based in Iceland having recorded under numerous guises with the likes of Valgeir Sigurdsson and Ben Frost with the Bedroom Community label in Reykjavik, give a nice warm welcome to Reekie’s new noisy resident in Allison House. Evoking shoegaze guitar hypnotism in the vain of Kevin Shields with electrical fluxes and repetitions, Matthew’s music is perfect for this glacial winter. Dram jams.
